MasksWith big smiles she greeted her friends,
Drowning in the crowd of people.
How many claimed to be her loved ones?
Hundreds? Thousands? She lost count long ago.

They welcomed her with jokes and laughter,
and she replied with hugs and kisses,
Pretending not to see the cracks in their masks
Or the lies in their voices.

She knew they were hiding something,
She heard the whispers behind her back,
Saw the greed behind their smiles,
And sensed their hatred long ago.

And every day she felt another part
Of her soul breaking away.

At night she tried to fix it,
Trying to reattach the broken pieces,
But as the time went by she realized

I am terrified

this letter I write, in full knowledge
you're going to do the same thing
and make me figure this out on my own

but I need guidance
I'm afraid to choose
so I'm afraid to let myself

I'm scared of the ambition and burning desire

The next time he sees her she looks a little different... He can't seem to tell what it is

He comes by again and this time he stays to talk and try to see if the sense of differenece is still lingering near

Time goes by and he starts to see something hiding deep within her eyes

Ghostly wishes.She remains a little slip of a girl,
wandering amongst the forest,
delightfully stepping on broken branches,
gleaming bright upon the moonlight,
simply yearning for the fullness of a presence,
as she disappears within resonating voices.

Alone and ScaredI'm terrified and falling fast through all the progress through the years
I'm so scared and not okay and my will can't stop the tears
I'm all alone and scared to death and I only hear the fears
I'm feeling weak and feeling frail and the ending starts to near

I'm crashing down and burning fast and I don't know what to do
I'm falling quick and it won't last and now I think I might fall through
I'm running low and giving up and I know I'm missing you
I'm letting go and breathing slow, I wonder if you'll miss me too

I'm lying down and thinking fast of all the things I wish I'd done
I'm dialing slow and losing grasp of all the memor

You should have more faith in your writings that to add that in your description

The poem is exceptionally good in a strange way. While it is simple in words (not a bad thing) it conveys emotions in an innocent manner; it is like a person is not bent on using difficult words to describe his feelings.
