In an unknown atmosphere …
A long and empty space
Between what is gone and what remains here.

A fear I never knew
Yet feel deep down, completely
Encapsulated, and brand new.
A delicate balance, imprisoned so freely.

And what is left to do
But to hear your voice again?
Ringing clear, sounding so true -
A lilting solo that just began.

A common courtesy,
A loving, charitable stance.
Sing to me so graciously
And give me just one more chance.

Endlessly, I feel you -
Please take me by the hand.
Grace me with that voice, do,
And leave me not to this land

Of violence and make-believe,
I dare not share this woe.

As sun melts to rain and day to night
Whispers continue by star shines that keep,
On darkest of days each mutter my light,

In bottled up laughs and waterless tears,
Their importance greater than oceans wide.
Every second you breathe, you smile, you live,
Is one that for nothing I’d ever give.

I never knew could burn so

I was the protection
I never knew I could trust

I thought of as anything but lust

Now here is this doubt
I never saw coming to me
There once was wisdom
but that has been usurped easily

An ease of hand there
that I never could expect
fingers tracing on me
the new boundary lines to respect

But you with those lips
I never dreamed to feel softly
and me with these shackles
you never wanted to give in to me

You were the wrong dream
the one with all the broken parts
but I was gone in the light
after you had found my fa

Without purpose or name
The ones the whole world shuns
Who suffer spite and shame

And we know solitude
Like a dear old friend
Without a  parachute
We fell to meet our end

Reflecting HeartsOur smiles reflected
In each other's eyes.

Yours was the smile
That made me laugh.

At which I hid my blush

What was it you were asking
In each glance at me?
What were your eyes wanting
Each time they questioned me?

Could it have been

But before it had even started
You had walked away.

I felt it slip away.

ExpectationsHe wasn't what you thought he'd be.
Sometimes the looks are all you see.
Your expectations soared up high.
And now to him you feel a tie.

Your heart at times, turns the other way.
Your pains, you wish, would go away.
You want to tell him, yet don't know what to say.
You feel it's a game that you don't want to play.

To get away would be a pleasure.
The extent of your problems, you cannot measure.
Whoever said that love is pain.
Today my respect has truly gained.

The First LetterAs I read your letter I held my breath
Every word pulled my heart from my chest
I can't wait until you read what I wrote
This might be cheesy but you float my boat
Filling me up with much needed happiness
I know at Boot Camp you'll do your best
Here I'll stay until you come for me
I believe in out love, Baby
So do your sit ups and your crunches
While all of us here miss you bunches
To My SweetheartOnce upon a time,
In a land not so far away,
there was a teenaged girl
wondering if she should stay.

She faked a smile each morning
and no one seemed to see,
that within that happy façade
she held such misery.

Until the day she met someone
who changed her mind for good;
though how that person found her,
she never understood.

Each day they talked for hours
and that happy feeling grew
until the day they finally met,
and her heart jumped high and flew.

She wanted so much to hold your hand,
to hug you tight and say
the happy things you made her feel
most every given day.

But she bit her lip each passing hour,
held her breath and hoped
The Flame of the Cold WarThe evil of our past fire
Led to possibly our last desire.
It’s ironic that the heat of our passion
Led to war in the coldest fashion.

The Man of Winter built this wall
One strong enough to never fall.
You on side and me on the other
Dear God, I miss you, brother.

I wish to climb
Climb
Climb
But thorns line the border
I hope they dull and coat with grime
As we get older

Now I wish to run
Run
Run
Until the cracked wall give way to sun

And I hope cement turns to glass
So that I can see that you’re okay.
And I wish to gaze into your eyes
Forever, on a never-ending day

But as I watch and a tear falls down my cheek,
I press my ha

When everything is hard to bear
Sing a song that’ll surely last
Inaudible words fall upon deaf ears
Life trickles through a silent hourglass
 
Sing a song of sweetened hue;
Spin a tale that breaks the cast
A tasteful tune not heard before.
That does not revive the past
 
A song of colours red through blue;
Though life is hard and love is war
Unlike the strain of honeyed throats
A choir should be fresh and raw
 
Perhaps you have sung a song too few;
Avoid clichés, Shakespearean quotes
Tell me how you really feel
Something marvelled at by most
 
It’s well and truly overdue;
Rough waves or sweet birdsong
If the melody is strong, clear
This time I’ll sing along
Sing me something new.

Shall I compare thee to a winter's day?Shall I compare thee to a winter’s day?
You were as luminous as the glowing moon.
My heart is still now you have walked away,
Your glow has faded, you will see that soon.
Your heart was cold and still like frozen ice,
Your words as harsh as thrashing arctic winds,
Your love had my heart caught up in your vice,
But now all you see are my own few sins.
Your skin was flawless as the pure white snow,
Your soulful eyes are really frozen lakes,
That ice forbids your emotions to show,
And I still fear this caused your heart’s mistakes.
One day your fragile icy heart will crack,
And then you can be sure you will come back.

Theme: Waves, tides, ocean, water; A friend/crush leaves, then comes back and the feelings come rushing back.

Oh please, oh please, oh please tell me this is a decent poem! My brain is outta whack today. Hope this is satisfactory Stelina, if not i'll try again until it is!!! :D

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! This is a more than decent poem and it is 1000% satisfactory! Its totally how I feels when we see each other and then not for a while! And if it hadnt been a request by me it would be awesome! I love how you really went with my water theme :D thanks a bunch again! maybe I'll read it everytime I see him to help me get past it to finally not let the tide take me away!

Lol what's funny to me is the fact that i'd normally be doing cartwheels right now if I hadn't been typing all day- right now im tired but really just elated that you like it :) you're so very welcome welcome welcome and i'm sending a million virtual hugs right now so i hope you can feel at least one :)

The hugs were all received! And I'm happy that you're happy that I like it. If that makes sense :P Seriously though you capture perfectly what I feel 'cause we dont see each other a lot but whenever we do something together (this time it had been three years that we had not seen eachother)I feel so giddy its totally ridiculous! And believe me when I saw him he still had an effect on me, but then we don't see each other for a while and I seriously don't think about him really, it's not like I'm waiting for him but then we plan something and I'm just swept away again for a little while. So the tide and the waves and the beach of clarity (really liked that sentence even though I like all of it too)were all perfect representation of what I feel and you're just soooooo awesome for having got it perfectly like that!!!!!! :glomp: xinfinity!!!

(okay wow maybe I wrote a little too much this time? xD)
