She Called Herself MidnightMy vixen
the raven child
ebony slick.

She sucks on clove cigarettes,
pausing to cough out flies and carbon.

She's as ugly as she's ever been,
gilded from glue and obsidian.

Black harpy;
darkness rupturing
from raw meat.
LegoLove is a beautiful soul steering thing;
when it happens
when it succeeds and the seed is sown.
But when wasted you can smell
The defeat as it ebbs away.
The dead quiet, complete void of uselessness.
The giving up,
the evaporation of passion,
the finality of something lost
and now leaden.
The ending of something that never was.
Dance In The HeavensToday is the day!
The day of your birth!
We shall remember your name as
you watch from above...

Colors of red and black is what we shall
wear, for they were your favorite colors.
Today is your special day!

In your remembrance and for your sake, we'll
celebrate this day when the world sang in joy!

Embracing your being, your personality,
and your very essence.

Today is the day when you came into this
world, but you are above, watching over us.
Surely proud and smiling at us for staying strong.

Seventeen.

Seventeen would've been your age today. But it
will not be so since death's cloud came and
whisked you away...

A sudden
ItIt watches you, waiting,
Waiting for when you are all alone,
Then in unseen dream-like blinks
It grasps hold of you and
Pulls you down into the
Darkness –
Like the swirling mist over water,
You stay out of touch,
Just above the surface, of reality,
Just within the boundaries of time,
But you have no need for time,
It drips off you like rain.

The SirenShe's a siren of the airwaves,
And I love it when she misbehaves.
Burning air I lust after her elegance,
Breathing in all her melodies lasciviously,
Pursuing her blindly over currents of crimson chance.

But every single time she cries my name,
I don't know if to her it's all just a game.
Weeping tears only for me,
Wailing along the air seductively,
Drowning me softly in glades with gruesome glee.

She's a siren turning me into ash,
Yet her love like tempestuous waves crash.
Sitting down next to me,
Singing down my ear promiscuously,
Killing me gently upon shores of sombre seas.
AdolescenceThere were two girls,
Beautiful and giggling,
As they ran, to
The swings, reaching
them a second after
Two lads, with cans.

And the blonde headed
Home, her curls, bouncing,
As she ran to a worried
Frantic mother, and the work
Soon due in. Her hazel eyes,
Were filled with worry,
As her friend waved;
A can passed to her hands.

Marie; brown haired,
Blue eyed, can in hand,
Made jokes and whispered,
To the taller of the lads,
Pupils dilated, they guided
Her to the woods,
And lit up a spliff,
Pushing it to her
Reddened lips.

And back home Penny
Cried at the thought,
Of the bruises, she couldn't
Stop from
HateMirror, Mirror, on the wall
What causes hate throughout all?

So much destruction
Spread because of a little thought
A thought of hate and disgust

Why do you taunt your victim?
Why do you make them that way?

Is it because people tell you too?
Is it because it's natural?
Is it because your feelings are true?

How do you know this?
How do you know what is true?
How do you know what it is you feel?

Did they hurt you?
Did they kill your loved ones?
Did they get on your nerves?

Think before you harm
Think before you taunt
Think before you hate

Don't drive yourself insane
Don't drive others to cry
Don't drive the world to hate

But spoken words cannot go there

Breathing in, then breathing out
Letting go of every doubt
Breath becomes a sweeter sound
Echoes in the chest resound

Notes fall softly, like a summer rain,

Stirring in the depths of me,
A building passion breaking free

Smooth as silk right off my lips
My world is caught in Your eclipse
Flowing forth, rushing through,
All I am, a prayer to you

A fiery love beyond control
Is overrunning from my soul
Hear by voice, Your work of art...

Dans tes yeux noirs où se perdent les ombres,
Immergés de spleen et d'ouragans sombres,
Assassine étoile en proie aux vingt ans,
N'oublie ta joie, ton courage d'antan.

Ah que le temps vienne où les fleurs s'égrainent !
Nos rires sous les toits bleus, nos fredaines
Oubliées, resteront à jamais les
Germes d'un été, mort abandonné.

Une lettre commencée, une plume
Egarée. Car dès lors de cette plume
Il faut tirer un trait, comme à l'enclume
Retirer l'épée. Des maux que j'exhume,

ScarsYou see the scars across his face.
A knife pulled across his cheek.

You see the scars all over her body.
Flames raged, her body ablaze.

You see the scars on his arm.
Where he slid over the tarmac.

You see the scars which are her knees.
With which she fell upon the floor.

You see the scars over his eye.
The knife took it away.

You see the scars on her legs.
Which she has cut so many times.

You don't see the scars in their minds.
Of all the words they heard.
The wonder of You
Mere words can not explain the wonder that is you
How you make me feel just by being there
I love your eyes, the green of a forest dappled by the light of your smile
Your smile which makes the most amazing sunrise pale in comparison to nothingness
Your laugh which is like the tinkling of silver bells by the choirs of Heaven
Your voice which is the purest music to listen to, golden on my ears
Your elegant, feminine hands with their slender perfect fingers which I long to hold
The entirety of you, the perfection I behold

My breath catches in my throat just looking at you, how utterly beautiful you are
My heart feels like a bird caught
MonophobiaYour hand found my heart with ease,
just as your words always found cracks in weakened armor,
and with the same fluidity that constantly drew my gaze,
filling me with childish need atop the comfort of company,
even if lonely:
we were never ones to stand individually.

Then you play my heart strings,
with the skill of devoted pianists and the poise
of Egyptian princes,
garbed in such confidence I have no choice but to move my lips
to words hummed beneath your steady breath;
the words my heart stammers over,
as weak a fool as ever.

Necessities mash like fevered lips,
merging us as one being,
one entity of which to rejoice with

Princepalmi & I decided to put our minds together and show two sides of an unrequited love. Although these two people are in the same room something is holding them both back from confessing how they truly feel about one another.

:bulletblue:The male's thoughts: He has this desire to love someone, this girl across the room he wants to give the world to, but his insecurities about putting himself out there for her overwhelm him and keep him from opening up.
:bulletpink:The female's thoughts: She is waiting for him to make the first move, not knowing that she would probably be better off if she was the one to say something. She believes her willingness to be with him is apparent.

:bulletpurple::bulletpurple::bulletpurple: Still there's no progress made. If only he would tell her what's on his mind she would be his (and vice-versa). They are now approaching one another and the question is whether they'll say what needs to be said or go on and miss out on another great opportunity.

I like it.

First of all, I like it how it is a collaboration - two different minds working together and producing one unified piece. Rarely, does that happen in art (makes me want to do it myself, looks like a lot of fun). And I like it how it has this duality in it and shows the two sides of the situation. And it's great you've used separate shrift colour - it's not confusing this way.

Also, it has this tension flowing from it. Not only because of the expressive phrases but also by how the first part of the poem has more or less longer lines than the second part. This gives an impression of the shortening of the distance between the two people. Possibly, both physical and intention-wise. But probably more intention-wise and the most the two people are doing is leaning a bit towards each other. :D The way the last thoughts are written in the same line gives the impression of great "proximity".

The idea that this may be continued intrigues me. I sure would like to know how this ends up. Have you decided upon making "Part 2" yet?

ok, that's beautiful. I love the way the thoughts seem to run together. It feels so real, like two people who want to be with each other so badly are thinking the same thing, but think the other person doesn't feel that way. Ahh, to be in love. Great job, both of you
